Edward Hooper Noll

Edward Hooper Noll of Pittsburgh died on July 17, 2009. While at Dartmouth he was a member of the Glee Club. A pleasant memory for Ed was performing after graduation with 30 Glee Club members for the warmup of The Nun’s Story at Radio City Music Hall. He was a psychology major and member of Phi Tau/Phi Sigma Kappa. He taught high school math at several private schools in Philadelphia and New Jersey. He earned a master’s degree in math at Temple University and in student personnel administration at Kent State University. In his later years he worked in the president’s office at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Ed donated to Dartmouth the family grand piano, which resides in the lounge of a recently opened dorm, and was proud of its heritage. He is survived by his brother, Charles ’53.
