Don Harlor Richardson ’52

Don Harlor Richardson ’52, M.D., passed away in Napa, California, on November 24, 2023. Don was born in 1930 in Raleigh, North Carolina, and grew up in Livingston, New Jersey, graduating from Caldwell High School in 1948. He graduated from Dartmouth with a chemistry/zoology degree. He was a member of Theta Chi and the cross-country track team. Don then served in the U.S. Army for two years before entering medical school at the University of North Carolina. After receiving his medical degree, he practiced as a pathologist in North Carolina for many years, retiring in 1993. Don married Margaret Mylle on August 12, 1957; they divorced in 1993. Don was respected as an outspoken man with strong beliefs about society, an active participant in community affairs, and an avid baseball fan. In his final years he moved to Napa to be closer to his daughters, D’arcy and Regan, both of whom survive him, along with his brother, David ’57.
