Derek Hedley Longworth Buntain ’62

Derek Hedley Longworth Buntain ’62 of Brackley Beach on Prince Edward Island, Canada, passed peacefully on November 29, 2020, at the Prince Edward Home. At Dartmouth Derek was a member of Phi Delta Alpha and majored in geography. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1964. Derek had a passion for horse racing and was the owner of Maritime standout Malabrigo, 20-time winner Malnificent, and five-time winner Mirasol. Derek will be remembered by wife Dianne, sons Angus and Andrew, granddaughter Libby, and stepchildren Kelly and William. Derek was predeceased by his parents, George and Eileen Buntain, and former wife Eleanor.
