David Peter Miller ’55

David Peter Miller ’55, a native of Poughkeepsie, New York, passed away in Durham, North Carolina, on December 24, 2017. Dave came to Dartmouth from Hotchkiss School. He majored in English and philosophy and was a member of German Club, Newman Club, and Sigma Nu. After serving five years as an officer in the Marine Corps, Dave earned an M.B.A. from Rutgers Graduate School of Public Accounting. He then received his C.P.A. license while working for Price Waterhouse. He joined the American Cyanamid Corp. in Wayne, New Jersey, and held positions as manager of the budget and controller of Formica Corp. Dave contributed to Dartmouth as a member of the Bartlett Tower Society and the Moosilauke Forum. He also served as an alumni admissions interviewer and career advisor and was a regional club officer. He is survived by his wife, Betsey, and children Susan, Charles, and James.
