David Neal Sibley ’54

David Neal Sibley ’54 passed away on February 27 in Boynton Beach, Florida. “Sib” came to Dartmouth from Brookline, Massachusetts, and the Browne & Nichols School, where he was active on the school paper, played baseball, and managed the basketball team. At Dartmouth he majored in government, was on the staff of The Quarterly, and was involved with the Dartmouth Film Society and Tau Epsilon Phi. After graduation Sib earned a degree from New York University in retail merchandising, a field in which he spent his working days with his wife, Sonia, sister of classmate Arthur Rauch. After 37 years in Woodmere, New York, in 1999 they moved to Florida and continued working. Sib is survived by Sonia and children Bruce ’84, Lawrence, and Rhonda.
