David Gladstone Campbell Jr. ’59

David Gladstone Campbell Jr. ’59 died on March 5. He entered Dartmouth from Auburn (New York) East High School and was a member of Zeta Psi. He was one of 10 ’59s who completed the 3/2 program with both the Thayer and Tuck schools, and in 1960 he received his master of science in engineering and business administration. Following graduation Dave served for three years as an engineering officer aboard a Navy destroyer. He and Yvonne, his wife of more than 50 years, lived in the Midwest, where he served as international marketing director for a valve manufacturing company, and then moved to Bellevue, Washington, in 1980, when Dave founded and built a manufacturer’s representative business serving the water and wastewater markets with offices in Seattle and Portland, Oregon. After his retirement in 2003 Dave and Yvonne moved to Williamsburg, Virginia, where he served the community in a variety of volunteer activities and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. He leaves Yvonne, daughter Tara, son Michael and seven grandchildren. Son David died in 2004.
