Dale Anthony Heckerling ’66

Dale Anthony Heckerling ’66 passed away January 10 of lung disease at Jackson South Medical Center in Miami. Dale was an all-city track star at Miami-Palmetto Senior High School. He received his A.B. in anthropology from Dartmouth, where he was a member of Alpha Delta, and then earned a J.D. from the University of Florida. He practiced law for more than 20 years in Miami-Dade County, focusing on real estate and civil litigation. Dale enjoyed running and cycling, completed the Orange Bowl and New York City marathons, and had a love of plants and animals. He is survived by his ex-wife of 50 years, Susan; daughter Kimberly; son Scott; sister Stephanie; nephews Jarrett, Darren, and Devin; grandson Alexander; and great-nephew Ari. He was predeceased by his parents and son-in-law Bruce.
