Constantin R. Boden ’57

Constantin R. Boden ’57 passed away on July 5 in New York City. Connie came to Dartmouth from Frankfurt am Main, Germany. At Dartmouth his major was economics and he was a member of Phi Tau in its first year as a local fraternity. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1961and started his professional career at the Bank of Boston in Boston. Connie held a variety of senior positions, including head of domestic specialized banking, chief credit officer, and executive vice president of international banking. He retired in 1995 and was active as a financial consultant and corporate board member until 2012. He was also associated with Terra Nova, an asset management company, since its founding in 1998. Connie said he “greatly enjoyed the change from analyzing a company’s credit-worthiness to analyzing the prospects of a company’s future share price expectations.” He was an avid sailor, golfer, and lover of music. A devoted husband and beloved father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Petra, son Hans, three sisters, and five grandchildren. Services will be held in Berlin, Germany.
