Charles Ralph Grafton ’55

Charles Ralph Grafton ’55 passed away on December 15, 2023, in Lutherville Timonium, Maryland. He is survived by Karen, his partner for 40 years; daughters Sean and Theresa; and son Charles. Charlie came to Dartmouth from Baltimore. He took a two-year leave of absence to complete his military service and returned in 1955. Charlie was captain of the lacrosse team in 1957 and was a member of Zeta Psi. After graduation Charlie earned an M.B.A. from Loyola University in 1976. He began his business career with C&P Telephone Co. of Maryland, an affiliate of ATT, and retired as marketing vice president of Lucent Technologies.
