Charles L. Pugh ’63

Charles L. Pugh ’63 died March 23 at his home in Roanoke, Virginia, after a long battle with brain cancer. Charlie was born in Roanoke and he attended Jefferson High School. He graduated with an A.B. in government and then an M.B.A. from Tuck in 1964. He was active in the Outing Club and Navy ROTC. After his Navy service, Charlie worked in investment banking. He and his wife of 56 years, Pat, subsequently moved to Mount Desert, Maine. There he was active with the local community radio station, WERU, and hosted the Front Porch Folk and Sunday Coffee House programs. WERU hosted one of his episodes on April 7 to “celebrate this warm and wonderful man.” In addition to his Pat, Charlie is survived by two daughters and six grandchildren.
