Burton E. Glazov ’60

Burton E. Glazov ’60 died November 11, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Adrienne, daughters Elizabeth (and husband Stanley), Alison and Nancy (and husband Robert); grandchildren Daniel, Emily, Isaac, Havalah, Matthew, Alex, Ben, Katie, Zoe and Sara; and brother Jordan (and wife Sheila). He was predeceased by sister Sandra. Services were held at Am Fond Shalom in Glencoe, Illinois, and interment was at Shalom Memorial Park. Burton came to Dartmouth from the Chicago area and graduated from South Shore High School, where he was president of his class and captain of the football team. Although Burton spent only his freshman year at Dartmouth before returning to Chicago to attend the University of Chicago, he loved Dartmouth and felt indebted to it because of the scholarship he was awarded. However, the pull of Chicago was too great for him to remain in the New Hampshire hills. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago he studied the law at the University of Chicago.
