Benjamin W. Simmons Jr. ’75

Benjamin W. Simmons Jr. ’75 passed away March 17 at his home in Bangor, Maine. Known to many of his family and friends as “Uncle Buck,” he is remembered as an extremely friendly, warm individual who rarely exhibited some of the more outlandish behavior his fraternity brothers could indulge in. He carried great trivia around in his head. He graduated Dartmouth with a degree in economics and was a member of the football team during all four years in Hanover. In the early 1980s Ben moved to Maine. He began working for the Brewer School Department in 1996 and was employed there at the time of his passing. He is survived by his parents, sister Karen, brother Christopher, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
