Athan G. Mertis ’57

Athan G. Mertis ’57 of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on September 25, 2019. “Mert” graduated from St. Louis Country Day School. At Dartmouth he majored in history, was a member of Alpha Delta Phi, guided his brothers to a touch football championship, played rugby, and was a member of Dragon Society. He returned to his hometown for a career in financial services working for the Capital Bank & Trust Co. Mert served as an alumni interviewer for the admissions office. He is survived by Bonnie, his wife of many years.
