Bog Walk

Students collect water samples from Philbrick-Cricenti Bog in New London, New Hampshire, for a physiological ecology course taught by postdoc Jessica Trout-Haney (wearing blue hat). “A bog is a great system to study how different environments influence plant and animal physiologies,” she says. The class walked atop floating boardwalks to access bog-adapted plants.
