June’s airborne mortar boards

Mortarboards filled the air as the class of 2013 celebrated Commencement June 9, when 1,059 bachelor’s degrees were conferred on a memorable day in Hanover. Roughly 12,000 people attended and heard speaker Geoffrey Canada, CEO of Harlem Children’s Zone, quote Martin Luther King and Robert Frost, class of 1896, and inspire the graduates to become “the greatest generation yet.”
