Arthur Norris Haupt ’67 passed away on May 3 in Savoy, Illinois. Born in London, England, Art came to the College from Arlington, Virginia; majored in history; and worked on The Dartmouth throughout his undergraduate years. The son of Polish writer Zygmunt Haupt, Art spent his career as an editor for the Population Reference Bureau, which analyzes population data for use by policymakers and decision-makers worldwide, and later as an editor at Kiplinger Magazine. Art vigorously promoted his father’s works in the United States and Poland, and in 1982 arranged for Stanford University to house a collection of his father’s works. Art was predeceased by his wife, Linda, who died in 2013.
