Andrew S. Beres Jr. ’55

Andrew S. Beres Jr. ’55 passed away on May 12 at his home in Avon, Connecticut. He is survived by Patricia, his wife of 66 years, daughter Nancy, and grandson Rainer. Son Daniel died in 2004. Andrew came to Dartmouth from Milford, Connecticut. In Hanover he studied engineering and was a member of Gamma Delta Chi and the Forensic Union. After graduation Andrew began a 30-year career with IBM as a systems engineer that included years spent living and working in Beijing and Hong Kong.
