Andrew Frans Linna ’73


Andrew Frans Linna ’73 died at home in Keene, New Hampshire, on September 4, 2012, of cancer. Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Andy came to Hanover from Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey, New Hampshire. At Dartmouth he lived in Streeter Hall and majored in government. After graduation Andy returned to Keene, where he began a career working in lumber retailing. In 1975 he became the director of Adams Lumber Co. Inc. in Keene. Later Andy became the manager of the Keene branch of Fireplace Village, New Hampshire’s largest hearth retailer. His friends remember his great sense of humor and love of music. Andy did not marry, and is survived by his sister Rebecca.
