Wilfred Robertson Ogg Jr.’59 died on June 19, 2018. He entered Dartmouth from Lyons Township (Illinois) High School, majored in history, and was a member of Gamma Delta Chi. After graduation he served in the Army, primarily in Germany, for three years. He then traveled to the Canadian Rockies, where he met his future wife, Mary. They were married in 1964 and continued to reside in her native country, Canada, eventually settling in the Toronto area. Bob began his business career as a trainee with Simpson-Sears in Calgary, Alberta, and transferred to its head office in Toronto in 1965. He was with the same company, which eventually became Sears Canada, for about 31 years in a succession of buying, merchandising, and administrative positions. Following retirement from Sears Canada in 1993, Bob joined other seasoned executives to furnish consulting services relating to implementation and compliance with ISO 9000, a set of international standards for quality management. Bob and Mary traveled frequently and were regular attendees at reunions of the class of 1959. He served in various alumni capacities, including as president of the Dartmouth Club of Ontario. He leaves Mary, daughter Kathryn, twin sons Andrew and Cameron, and three grandchildren.
