Sterling Cox Klinck ’55

Sterling Cox Klinck ’55 passed away May 1, 2017. A native of Buffalo, New York, Sterling came to Dartmouth from Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts. He took leave of college to complete his military obligation and play hockey and returned to graduate. At Dartmouth he played hockey, a sport he continued playing into his 70s. Sterling was a skilled sailor and master shipwright who earned several awards for his work in building and renovating wooden boats. He also built finely crafted wood furniture. He was a member of the Rochester Folk Art Guild in Middlesex, New York, for more than 50 years. He is survived by his daughters, Nina, Kristen and Robin, and his sons, Peter and Christian.
