When Nadia’s older sister, Sasha, was discovered dead from a fentanyl overdose in the summer of 2015, Nadia was plunged into a world of grief, loss, and mystery. She began to wonder who had sold her sister the drugs that killed her and the ensuing investigation of her sister's dealer led her to write a This American Life essay entitled Dear Dealer. In a newly published memoir of the same name, Nadia seeks to understand the difficult questions her sister left behind, as well as both her sister’s identity and her own.
