Geoff Ralston believes that we can only partially understand the minds of AI, meaning that companies take risks when they use AI systems. That’s why he founded the Safe Artificial Intelligence Fund, to back companies working on AI security and safety. The fund has invested in nearly 30 companies so far. Ralston sees handling the future of AI as “walking a tightrope” over a precipice and finds himself willing to invest in crafting a better and safer future for AI use.
