Peter E. Kenny ’58

Peter E. Kenny ’58, Tu’59, died in December 2021. Pete grew up in Kentucky and spent most of his adult life in southern California. At Dartmouth he was a geography major and a brother at Zeta Psi. Early in his career he was in sales with Remington Rand and Xerox. Then, he said, “I played entrepreneur. Had several winners and some nonwinners.” In our 25th reunion book, he wrote, “Let me bitch about our government. What kind of crisis is needed for our politicians to consider the good of the country first and forget political considerations? Today the country is going ‘down the tubes’ and all those bastards in Washington can do is posture and protect their backsides.” Pete was active with his local alumni club for more than 50 years as a club officer, alumni fund agent, and admissions interviewer. He is survived by his wife, Coead, and two daughters.
