David T. Parsons Jr. ’58 died on July 22, 2025. Dave grew up in rural southern Vermont. His father was in the U.S. Navy, so young Dave also lived in Illinois and for two years in postwar Berlin, followed by five years at Deerfield Academy He roomed in Topliff for freshman year and participated with the DOC, ski patrol, and sailing team. Dave left Dartmouth after two years and became a salesman in the textile industry for 43 years, then retired in Vermont. His first marriage produced three children, and he later married Wendy, who had five, so together they had eight children plus 23 grandkids. Dave enjoyed sailing and was a Boy Scout volunteer. In the class reunion book, he wrote: “What I have learned: Work hard, be patient, value your family and see the humor in life. What a wonderful life I have had.” Dave is survived by Wendy.
