Edwin L. Miller ’47, Tu’48

Edwin L. Miller ’47, Tu’48, died March 3 of liver cancer at his home in La Jolla, California. He grew up in South Laguna Beach, California, and attended Newport Harbor High School before joining the class as one of the limited number of civilians in July 1943. He majored in economics, participated in football and track and joined Dragon and Phi Gamma Delta before attending Tuck School. He served in the Navy as an ensign and went on to earn an LL.B. from UCLA Law School in 1958. From 1970 to 1994 he served as district attorney in San Diego County, California, where he earned the reputation of being through and honest. He retired in 1994 and enjoyed traveling in Europe. His son Stephen ’84 is currently an assistant district attorney in San Diego County. He is survived by his wife and son.
