Bruce K. Nichols ’63

Bruce K. Nichols ’63 died on January 27 in Palm City, Florida, of complications from bladder cancer. Bruce was from Norwalk, Connecticut, and attended Norwalk High School, where he was active in the glee club, yearbook, and soccer. At Dartmouth he received his A.B. in economics, was a brother and social chairman of Tabard, and participated in the Glee Club. Bruce was an active alumnus as a regular agent for the alumni fund for many years. His most noteworthy achievement was as chairman of the 25th reunion of the class of 1963 in 1988, and he was the subject of a complimentary article in the alumni magazine that February for his outstanding work on the reunion. Bruce was the founder of the Bankers Trust office in Chicago and moved, in 1988, to the office of Prescott, Ball & Turban (a division of Kemper Insurance). He retired in 2014. His wife of 53 years, Penny, predeceased him in 2019. He is survived by two children and two grandchildren.
