Leonard N. Waldbaum ’63

Leonard N. Waldbaum ’63 passed away on March 22, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Len attended North High School in Denver, where he played baseball, wrestled, and was on the debate team. At Dartmouth he majored in philosophy and was a brother in Chi Phi and a member of the Film Society and the Cosmopolitan Club. In his senior year Len married his sweetheart from the fifth grade, Bobbie, and they both worked for Professor Gene Lyons putting together exhibits for “Great Issues.” Len was a class agent and was an alumni interviewer. After Dartmouth Len received his J.D. from the University of Denver and embarked on a legal career, founding his own law firm in Denver. He and Bobbie enjoyed their Colorado mountain retreat and Italian home in Umbria at a time when Bobbie was a full-time instructor of Italian at University of Denver. Len is survived by Bobbie and three sons, one of whom is Dartmouth ’90. For more on his life, see the thoughtful YouTube presentation, “Funeral Service of Leonard Waldbaum.”
