James Richard Love ’54

James Richard Love ’54 passed away on July 13. Jim came to Dartmouth from Stow, Ohio, and Stow High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was also active in the National Forensic League and Hi-Y. At Dartmouth he played freshman football and was a member of Phi Delta Theta. After graduation Jim served two years with the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps. He went on to earn an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Finance in 1958, then joined IBM for a varied career in marketing, management, world trade, and anti-trust defense trial support. Through the years he stayed involved with Dartmouth as a recruiter and interviewer of applicants, alumni fund class agent, class executive committee member, and class newsletter editor and through many trips to Hanover. Jim was married to Sandra Lossner and had two children, Jay and Beth.
