Perfect Day

The class of 2019 walks.

Bountiful sun and warm temperatures made for a memorable ceremony on June 9, when 1,055 members of the class of 2019 received their degrees. Renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma (bottom left) served as speaker. “You will be powerful,” he told the graduates. “And when you are, do not abuse your power. Ever.” Following his speech, Ma performed “Song of the Birds” for the crowd of 11,000. Graduates included six valedictorians and four salutatorians.
