Donald B. McKendry ’63

Donald B. McKendry ’63 passed away peacefully in Maynard, Massachusetts, on September 1, 2022. Don was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and graduated from Hope High in Providence, where he played hockey. At Dartmouth he received his A.B. in art (architecture) and was a member of Le Cercle Français and the Cosmopolitan Club and played with the Hanover Storm Kings. Don went on to Rhode Island College and earned his M.A.T. in French in 1965. He and his wife moved to Maynard in 1973. Don had various vocations. He taught French and art at Providence Country Day School and later worked as a computer programmer at Liberty Mutual and as a systems analyst for Genrad. His final calling was as a ceramics craftsman for the Potting Shed of West Concord, Massachusetts, and Articles Inc. in Maynard. He was a youth soccer coach. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith, two children, and three grandchildren.
