William M. Hamel ’57 of Port Byron, New York, passed away on January 8 at his home with his wife, Carol, by his side. Bill came to Dartmouth from Hebron (Maine) Academy.
Robert E. Prasch ’57 of Grand Isle, Vermont, died on March 22. Bob grew up in Philadelphia and attended Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts. At Dartmouth he majored in geology and botany.
Malcolm W. Robinson Jr. ’57 died on April 16 at his residence in Jacksonville, Florida. Mal graduated from Darien (Connecticut) High School. At Dartmouth he majored in economics and was a Sigma Chi brother.
Galen W. Clough ’57 of Evansville, Indiana,passed away on December 21, 2017. He grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, and attended Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Frank T Szymanski ’57 of Coral Springs, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh, died April 1, 2014. Frank attended Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh.
Frederick G. Brown ’57, M.D.,of Danville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 24. Fred graduated from the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
Alfred “Monk” C. Bancroft Jr. ’57 of Fayston, Vermont, died on December 10, 2017, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Monk grew up in Essex Falls, New Jersey, and graduated from Kimball Union Academy.
Gordon B. Evans ’57 passed away in his sleep on October 27, 2017, at home in Portland, Oregon. “Pick” was born in Wisconsin and, although he moved to Portland when he was 13, was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.
Evan M. Kjellenberg ’57 of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2018. Born in Peoria, Illinois, “Shelly” graduated from Syracuse High School in Cincinnati.
Robert L. Shirley ’57 died peacefully November 27, 2017, in Middletown, Connecticut, surrounded by his beloved family. He grew up in Waban, Massachusetts, and graduated from Hebron Academy.
Richard R. Stacey ’57, M.D., of Spokane, Washington, died at his home on March 12, 2017. Dick came to Dartmouth from Westfield, New Jersey, high school. He majored in English and was premed.
Walter C.H. Stocker ’57 passed away on June 28, 2012, in Lebanon, New Jersey. Walter grew up in Union, New Jersey, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.
