Class Note 1999. Hello, ’99s!
It’s hard to believe that yet another year is drawing to a close! I hope you all can make the most of the holiday season, slowing down and spending time with friends and family.
In late August, Cynthia (Anderson) Hansen, Elizabeth (Tripoli) Laughlin, Heather (Harnett) Ross, Catherine (Maxson) Pieroni, and Sara Zrike traveled to Los Angeles for the bat mitzvah of Debbie (Bender) Llewelyn’s daughter Natalie. Cynthia writes: “What an amazing night! Natalie had such poise co-leading the meaningful service focused on peace in our world, the connection of family, and the role of communities in our lives.” The ceremony was followed by a great party at the Sheraton Universal in Universal City near L.A. Cynthia added that they danced the night away to their favorite ’99 hits, including a little “Dancing Queen,” some “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and lots of classic 90s hits. Cynthia said Debbie, her husband, Danny, and Natalie were fantastic hosts to friends and family, and they thoroughly enjoyed the time together.
Many of us are hitting 50 in the coming months (if we haven’t already!), and we’d like to throw a few parties to celebrate in 2027. If you’d like to get involved, email the class executive committee at dartmouth1999@gmail.com. We’re especially looking for hosts in L.A., D.C., Philly, and Seattle—but get in touch with us if you’d like to help in any way. Keep an eye out for party dates in the class newsletter and the class of 1999 Facebook page so you can join us!
That’s all the news for now. I wish you all a brilliant holiday season and look forward to sharing more updates with you in 2027!
