Class Note 1992
Issue
September-October 2026
Class Note 1992. The classes of 1991, 1992, and 1993 are cosponsoring “Reuniversity,” an ongoing online symposium series featuring classmates speaking on a range of topics. Our three classes will all reunite in Hanover next June 17-20!
On June 23 the class of 1991 hosted the sixth installment, titled “Focus on Journalism: The Evolution of the Fourth Estate,” featuring our classmate Matt Mosk, head of CBS News’ investigative unit. Before CBS Matt spent 12 years at ABC News, where he helped lead the network’s Washington, D.C.-based team, covering the Mueller investigation and Trump impeachments. He has also held positions at The Washington Times, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times. He holds a master’s from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He served as editor-in-chief of The Dartmouth.
And here’s a fun fact: Jennifer Williams, one of our Aegis editors, now collaborates with Matt from time to time in her role of executive producer for CBS News 24/7, based in the Bay Area. The other Reuniversity panelists were Debbi Wilgoren ’89, deputy national editor at The Washington Post, and Priscilla Huff ’91, managing editor for the Washington, D.C., bureau of Gray Television.
The panel participants had a lively discussion on several topics, including the pace of the news cycle today vs. early in their careers, trust challenges with the public and their sources, influence and bias in newsrooms, and factors that make them hopeful for the future of journalism. Information on this and all past Reuniversity sessions is available at 1992.dartmouth.org/reuniversity. Please note, not all sessions are recorded (the June session was not), so watch your email for registration info and be sure to catch them live or you might miss out.
Speaking of reunion, our theme is now official: “Reunion Tour—Live from the Green, 3 Nights Only!”
All the ’90s bands are back on tour, so why not us? Almost 35 years ago you packed up and left Hanover not knowing how much of it would stay with you: the Green, the woods, the people who knew you before you knew yourself. Next June we have one more weekend together at the venue we never left with the people we never forgot. Rumor has it we might even get a Noise Complaint reunion. Stay tuned and start dusting off the flannel for Hanover, New Hampshire—June 2027.
