Class Note 1971. As you read this, I hope you have joined us in Hanover for our 55th reunion! You will find a sizeable turnout of fellow classmates, spouses, and friends to spend the days with and lots of activities to keep you busy. The Dartmouth Alumni Magazine reflected on Commencement 1971 as follows: “Under blue skies on a sun-soaked Baker Library lawn Sunday, June 13, Dartmouth College conferred 940 baccalaureate and advanced degrees at its 201st Commencement.”
Years pass and here we are 55 years later, ideally with a lovely sunny day and many of our friends celebrating our lives and friendships and our undying love for the College during these many years. You may have headed to Hanover with the new issue of DAM in your suitcase or you may have just decided not to travel but still keep current with all our class does. In any event, happy 55th reunion! It’s hard to believe how time flies. It was just yesterday that it was 1971.
In the meantime, welcome home. Relish this time with each other and make new memories for the future years, however many there may be for us. Go Green!
