March - April 2026

Class Note 2005. Hi, ’05s. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. A lot of great updates from our class below—please keep them coming. Happy New Year!
Brandon Charles has been studying energy policy and governance at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Brandon expects to graduate with a Ph.D. in public administration in June. Postgraduation, he has accepted the position of assistant professor in the department of public administration and policy at the University of Georgia in Athens.
Andrew “Goldie” Goldstein is associate professor of molecular, cell, and developmental biology at UCLA, where he is also associate professor in the urology department. He is currently spending a year on sabbatical in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where he is working on an exciting project to better understand and target prostate cancer.
Jonathan Lazarow of Ambrose Lazarow, PLLC, has been recognized for his firm’s representation of Pay4Leads in its acquisition by LiftOut Capital. The acquisition has been named a finalist for three mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisor awards by the M&A Advisor, including “Communications Services Deal of the Year” and “Private Equity Deal of the Year” ($25-$50 million). Jonathan cofounded Ambrose Lazarow, a boutique law firm focused on transactional business law. A former business owner who grew his family’s business into the largest family-held jeweler in the United States, Jonathan specializes in advising closely held, family-run businesses on a variety of corporate matters.
Matt Nicholson, Ben Grinnell, Brandon Wright, Pat Keeley, Jesse Klempner, Nick Crofoot, and Matt Nielsten got together in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the end of September 2025 for their annual guys’ trip. They watched University of Virginia (UVA) football upset Florida State and saw Jason Meyer ’06 and Jake Dwyer ’03, who both live in Charlottesville. The trip was fun and full circle for the group as they were able to connect with UVA men’s lacrosse coach, Lars Tiffany, who recruited them all to Dartmouth when he was an assistant coach back in 2000.
In November 2025 Kedar Deshpande won election to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the largest independently elected municipal park district in the country and, not coincidentally, the most lauded. His district has 75,000 people and contains the heart of the immigrant and indigenous communities of the city, along with an array of neighborhood parks and the Mississippi River shoreline. Follow him on Facebook and Instagram @kedarforparks.
