Class Note 1992
Issue
March - April 2026
Class Note 1992. Our 35th reunion plans are percolating! Save the dates: The next big class of 1992 reunion in Hanover is June 17-20, 2027. We look forward to celebrating with the classes of 1991 and 1993. You should already be receiving info via email, and if you’re not, please visit alumni.dartmouth.edu/update-your-info!
We have already been collaborating with the ’91s and ’93s on “Reuniversity,” a Zoom symposium series featuring classmates speaking on a range of topics. Some are available as recordings. Stay tuned for upcoming installments.
Speaking of reuniting, Thursday, April 2, is the 92nd day of 2026! That day we’ll hold our annual virtual class-wide get-together. Please join us as we continue our longtime tradition of answering that burning question: “What are you up to today?” Watch your email (as well as ’92 social media) for a reminder to post, and we’ll share all replies in an upcoming newsletter!
Before that we’ll be greeting spring (or perhaps enjoying spring break) with March Madness! We have been running class of 1992 brackets for both the women’s and the men’s NCAA college basketball tournaments for the past few years, so be sure to sign up for both of them. Visit 1992.dartmouth.org for more info.
Kate Cohen wrote: “After leaving The Washington Post in March, I took a few months to figure out what I (rather than Mr. Bezos) really wanted to write. I have just launched a new column, ‘Scratch,’ about what we make that makes us human. I’ll be celebrating obstinate human agency in the face of automation, artificial intelligence, and Amazon—with essays on everything from cooking from scratch to creating a life that doesn’t follow the usual script. Find me on Substack and let me know what you think.” Thanks to Kate for the update, and we encourage you all to share your personal and professional news.
We are heartbroken to share that our classmate Dave Harrison passed away in Hanover in November 2025 after an 11-month battle with glioblastoma. To quote his family’s loving tribute: “He was quite simply a good human being and a reminder to us all to cherish and value what really matters most in life—family, friends, integrity, generosity, compassion, and a sense of humor.” If you have remembrances of Dave (or other ’92s who have left us too soon), please email us and we’ll add your words and photos to the “In Memoriam” section of our website (1992.dartmouth.org/memoriam).
