Class Note 2017
Issue
November-December 2025
Class Note 2017. Hello, ’17s! Hard to believe the year is already coming to a close. I hope everyone is able to spend time with family, friends, and loved ones during the holidays. Speaking of loved ones, it felt right to close us out with an acknowledgement of all the great wedding celebrations during the past year. Check out the nuptials (and first-year anniversaries) of many of our classmates below, and thanks to everyone who wrote in to share the news!
A little more than a year ago, a group of about 10 ’17s had the pleasure of a Dartmouth wedding extravaganza with three consecutive weekends of nuptials, conveniently spread across the country. Cannon Wille and Ally Benedict married in Colorado Springs, Colorado; followed by Chris Meyer and Caroline Resor in Jackson, Wyoming; and rounded out by Tyler Kelsall and Torri Lee in Vermont! Spencer Blair served as a groomsman in all three and only had to dry-clean his tux once. Also in 2024: Cedar Farwell married longtime sweetheart Jenny Moffett; Catherine Kannam and Tom Palladino tied the knot in Quechee, Vermont; and Kate Herrington and Nick Pruthi said “I do” in Maine.
Wedding season didn’t slow down this summer either. Emily Dann and Sean Fahey were married in Brooklyn this May; followed by Joanna Millstein in June outside of Providence, Rhode Island; then Chase Shipp and Subur Khan in Princeton, New Jersey, this July.
Finally, Max Parker recently got married in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho. Several ’17s attended, including C.J. Katz. C.J. has lived in New York City since graduation. Since turning 30, he’s been looking for something to “mix things up a bit.” He recently visited Melanie Brown and Kevin Donahoe in San Francisco. While there, the group stopped into a vintage clothing store on iconic Haight Street, where C.J. purchased his first-ever pair of jeans. Caroline Vanacore encouraged the purchase, noting that the jeans—paint-splotched, torn, and ill-fitting—were considered “in” by today’s standards. The jeans mostly sit in C.J.’s closet as he works up the courage to wear them, but just having them makes him feel sufficiently mixed-up. Hayden Aldredge, Dawit Workie, Geoff Parker ’82, Luke Hurst, and others also attended Max’s wedding.
