Class Note 2014

Issue

November-December 2025

Class Note 2014. While it’s already beginning to feel a bit like November here in London, this column is in fact written in August when you are all much busier having adventures than sharing updates, so it will be a short one!
Ashley Wong writes in, “After completing a Ph.D. at Northwestern and spending two years in Amsterdam as an assistant professor in economics at Tilburg University, I have moved to N.Y.C. with my husband, Samuel Aney. I am starting as an assistant professor in economics at Barnard College and Sam will be working at Hudson River Trading as a software developer.”
The class of 2014 was represented among the speakers at the September Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum in San Francisco by Esteban Castaño, who participated in the panel, “Where AI is Heading,” speaking from his experience as CEO of software company TRM Labs.
Additionally, professor of engineering Douglas Van Citters ’99, Th ’03, Th ’06, has been named the recipient of this year’s 1964/2014 James Wright ’64a Outstanding Leadership Award. The award is given annually in recognition of responsible leadership in the ongoing life of the College. Daniel Bornstein served as the ’14 representative to the selection committee and adds, “The ’64s established the award several years ago and are eager to engage our class in this process to ensure the award’s longevity. We are looking for more ’14s to join next year’s award committee.” If you are interested in helping to select next year’s recipient, get in touch with Daniel at danielbornstein1210@gmail.com.
From big life updates to the small things—even run-ins with other ’14s—I’m looking forward to receiving your updates in the new year!
