Bruce M. Barber ’58

Bruce M. Barber ’58 passed away on March 22. Bruce was from the Chicago area and came to Dartmouth from Cheshire Academy in Connecticut. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and completed M.B.A. and engineering degrees as part of Dartmouth’s Tuck-Thayer five-year program. He later became a certified public accountant. For the next 41 years Bruce worked for American Electric Power, first in New York City and then in Columbus, Ohio, when the company relocated there in 1983. He retired as a vice president at age 65. In retirement he traveled extensively, visiting 48 state capitals and numerous foreign countries. He is survived by a half-brother plus nieces and nephews.
