Brian Kent Hepburn ’59

Brian Kent Hepburn ’59 died on January 17. He entered Dartmouth from New Trier High School and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta and Sphinx. Brian played freshman and varsity football and, during his senior year, was the fullback and a defensive back on Dartmouth’s first Ivy championship team. He was in the 3-2 program with Thayer School and received an M.S. in mechanical engineering. After a brief stint with the Army Brian worked for Procter & Gamble for six years and then had a long career at C.R. Bard, a medical products company headquartered in New Jersey. Following retirement in the early 1990s, Brian and Betsy, his wife for more than 55 years, moved from New Jersey to the Harbour Ridge community in Palm City, Florida. Both Brian and Betsy were avid golfers. Betsy predeceased Brian by less than three months. He leaves children Alan and Judith and their spouses and three grandchildren.
