Arthur D. Toll ’63

Arthur D. Toll ’63 passed away peacefully of Alzheimer’s on February 22, 2021, at the Nottingham Nursing Home near his home in Baldwinsville, New York. Art was from Berlin, New Hampshire, was an Eagle Scout, and attended Berlin High School, where he participated in the glee club, yearbook, and the basketball team. He received an academic scholarship to Dartmouth and continued his academic career at University of New Hampshire and Syracuse University, obtaining a master’s in electrical engineering. Art served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of captain, and received a commendation medal for contributions to signal processing technology. He was recruited by General Electric, where he worked for 30 years developing radar defense systems around the world and earned multiple awards. Art was an outdoor adventurer and a competitive athlete, winning many ski races and owning several boats. He gave back to the community as a volunteer tax professional for AARP, a member of the GE Elfun Society, and chairman of the Radisson Architectural Committee. He earned the Elfun of the Year award for public service. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, two children, six stepchildren, and 11 grandchildren.
