Richard “Dick” F. Lang ’56
Richard “Dick” F. Lang ’56 died in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on April 2 after a long battle with T-cell lymphoma. A buckeye, Dick graduated from Xenia High School before matriculating at Dartmouth. He graduated with a major in economics and returned to Ohio, dedicating his career to the family’s automobile dealership. Dick was an enthusiastic car buff and raced Corvettes and Camaros from 1959 through 1972, garnering a Sports Car Club of America national championship in 1968. In addition to all that speed Dick enjoyed biking, running and hiking in the mountains. He was a strong advocate for wilderness conservation and protection of animals. Dick was also a public fighter against discrimination based on race, gender or sexual orientation. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son Todd and daughter-in-law Tami; son Bradford and daughter-in-law Linda; daughter Heather and son-in-law Jack; sister Shirley; and four grandchildren.
