Emil Julius Popke ’49 died on May 23, 2012, at his home in Kalamazoo, Michigan. “Bud” came to Dartmouth from Danbury (Connecticut) High School. He managed WDBS at Dartmouth, and used that as a springboard to a career in radio, advertising and sales promotion. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, a daughter and three sons, including Jeffrey ’89.
