David E. Duffy ’57 died peacefully on May 26 in North Fort Myers, Florida, where he resided for the past 32 years. David graduated from Lynn (Massachusetts) Classical High School and then Dartmouth with a degree in economics. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a meteorologist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and was stationed on top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, the highest peak in the northeastern United States notorious for its erratic weather, and other locations around North America. David spent many leisure hours playing bridge and earned the designation “life master.” He also enjoyed playing tennis, reading, listening to opera and symphonic music, and attending Shakespeare festivals. He is survived by brother Michael and many nieces and nephews.
