Alexander McKaig Taft ’49 died on March 29, 2012, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where he lived. “Zandy” came to Dartmouth from Vermont Academy. Zandy ran his family electric utility business, then became heavily engaged in local and state education, politics and philanthropy for the rest of his life. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, one son and two daughters.
