Theodore Jackson Talbot Short ’54

Theodore Jackson Talbot Short ’54 passed away on December 10, 2016, at the Duke University Medical Center. Ted came to Dartmouth from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, where he attended Upper Darby Senior High School. At Dartmouth he was an economics major and a brother of Phi Sigma Kappa. He was the varsity ski team manager. After graduation Ted settled in New Jersey and worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Burroughs Corp. and then Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Manhattan, Chicago and St. Louis, Missouri. After retiring Ted moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he started his own business as a financial consultant to companies in the promotional products industry. In 1995 he moved to Eastman in Grantham, New Hampshire, where he served for six years as treasurer of the Eastman Community Association. In 2013 Ted moved to Cary, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, sons Brian and Gregory and daughter Carol.
