Steven V. Schmieder ’55

Steven V. Schmieder ’55 died on November 15, 2020. He is survived by sons Eric, Howard, and Steve and daughters Elizabeth and Marion. Steve was a math major and member of Chi Phi, Germania, and the swimming team. He completed his B.A. at Stanford University and earned an M.B.A. from California State University, Bakersfield. He also studied at the Free University in Berlin, Germany, and became a planning specialist for Ford Motor Co. In 1973 Steve returned to Bakersfield and became a high school teacher. He also served as an IRS tax auditor.
