Robert Wallace Osmond ’54

Robert Wallace Osmond ’54 passed away on October 9, 2017, in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Bob came to Dartmouth from East Kingston, New Hampshire, where he attended Sanborn Seminary. At Dartmouth he was a government major and a brother of Kappa Kappa Kappa. After graduation Bob was commissioned in the U.S. Navy and served on destroyers in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. He was later recalled to active duty for the Berlin Crisis in 1961 and eventually left the Navy as a lieutenant commander. Bob spent his business career in sales and business development in the water and wastewater industries at Advanced Drainage Systems. He was a lifetime member of the Ring Club, which honored outstanding salesmen. He lived in Wilbraham, Massachusetts for 25 years before retiring to Sawyer Point in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. Bob was a Boy Scout leader in Wilbraham and was elected to the Wilbraham board of water commissioners. In retirement Bob was active in the Wolfeboro Lions Club, Kingswood Golf Club and Libby Museum. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and children Douglas, Edward and Jenifer.
