Robert Spencer Jeffrey ’54

Robert Spencer Jeffrey ’54 passed away at home in St. Petersburg, Florida, on October 16, 2014. Jeff came to Dartmouth from Oil City, Pennsylvania. He attended the Hill School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Alpha Delta Phi and a history major. He was a member of Sphinx, Interdormitory Council, Interfraternity Council and the Vigilantes. Jeff was a member of the track team, participating in field events. After graduation he served in the Korean War and then returned to Oil City, where he worked for 33 years at Seneca Bank and Trust Co. He served on numerous municipal boards in Oil City and took pride in his skills as a plane pilot. Jeff eventually retired to Florida. He is survived by children Robert and Lynn. His wife, “Punky,” passed away in the summer of 2014.
