Robert Kohl Gluek ’54

Robert Kohl Gluek ’54 passed away on June 13 at his home in Mantorville, Minnesota. Bob came to Dartmouth from Hopkins, Minnesota, and attended the Blake School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Alpha Delta Phi and a member of Dragon and the Corinthian Yacht Club. After graduation Bob served in the U.S. Navy. He then returned to Dartmouth and earned his M.B.A. from Tuck School. He worked for Grand Union in New Jersey for three years and Bauer & Black in Chicago for three years. Bob relocated to Rochester, Minnesota, where he went to work at the Mayo Clinic as an administrator for various departments. Although he retired in 1994, he continued at the Mayo Clinic as a volunteer in the oncology department. During retirement Bob continued his interest in sailing and became an experienced horseman, riding in dressage competitions. Bob is survived by his wife, Judy, and children Terry, Carol, Lisa, Charlie, Sarah, Karla and Gretchen.
